Connection between Anglesea Road and the Princes Highway near Draytons Road (Section 4B)
Drivers using Anglesea Road will have noticed some changes along the road side, with more expected in the coming months. Cut & Fill is preparing the foundations for installing concrete barriers and noise walls to provide continuity with the existing sections.
Works recently completed:
- All approach slabs completed
- Completion of drainage works, minor beaching still to be undertaken
- Kerb and channel at the freeway overpass, rail overpass and the associated interchange
- MMAP Constructions began services works at the rest areas
Works Underway:
- 90% of pavement construction completed
- 90% of kerb and channel has been completed
- Installation of reinforced earth walls for Anglesea Road near the pedestrian underpass
- Precasting concrete barriers is continuing off site
- Progressive topsoil and grass seeding to establish grassed areas
- Installation of bored piles for placement of concrete barriers, visual screens and noise walls throughout the site
- Installation of piles for sign structures
- Installation of concrete barriers and parapets through the site
- Installation of visual screens
- Construction of shared path between Anglesea Road interchange and Hams Road underpass
- Landscaping
- MMAP Constructions procurement of construction materials including concrete panels
Connection between Anglesea Road and the Surfcoast Highway, Grovedale (Section 4C)
Preliminary studies and investigations such as Feature Survey, Geotechnical Investigations and Cultural Heritage investigations are continuing between Anglesea Road and the Surfcoast Highway.
Community consultation with landowners is continuing with information collected from these sessions used to further develop the preliminary design plans.
